A French ship docks in San Diego after its entire crew, except one, are exposed to some kind of mysterious radiation. Mulder realizes the ship was searching the same area where he believes the Talapus raised a UFO and wants answers. Meanwhile, Scully is told her sister’s case is being set to inactive due to a lack of leads. As Mulder and Scully try to figure out what’s killing the French sailors, they once again uncover a larger conspiracy at work...
